 We can design our own uniforms.

元宝学校  初成智

Step 1 Greetings

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls!  

Ss: Good afternoon, Miss Chu!

T: Can you think out who often wears uniforms?  

Ss: policeman, doctors, nurse, office workers

T: Yeah, great. Why do they need to wear uniforms?

S1:……

S2:……

T: Very good. Sit down, please! As we know, suitable uniforms can show good discipline.

设计意图:以制服引入话题,吸引学生注意力,再导出学生校服话题。

Step 2 New words and expressions

The students learn the new words and expressions all by themselves, and help each other, the teacher checks and helps. Now call a student to read them, the others listen and check..

S1:(reads the new words and expressions)

The teacher teaches the new words and expressions. The Ss read them and check each other.

设计意图:单词的教学,由学生自已拼读——互相检查帮助——教师检查辅导等方式方法改变原来单一的教师教学生跟着读,容易激发学生的积极性,且掌握得更好。真正地体现学生的自学互帮与老师的导学。

Step 3 Pre-listening

T: Do you like your school uniforms? Why?

Ss: Yes../No

T: Today we are going to listen to a short dialogue. Can you predict what it refers to?

Ss: Yes, maybe it is about school uniforms.

T: Great. Before listening, lets learn about some phrases about the dialogue.( depend on; discipline; plain clothes)

 (Five minutes later)

Listen to the dialogue.

设计意图:教师话题导入,图片学习新短语,充分利用了多元的教学元素, 生活化课堂自然生成.]

 Step4 While-listening.

T: Everybody, the first time, listen to the dialogue and then check your prediction true or false.

Ss: Ok.

T: The second time, listen again and complete 1b. Ready?

Ss: Go.

T: The third time, follow the listening and read the dialogue.

Ss: Ok.

T: Lets read it together.

T: Lets read it in groups.

T: Who can find out some key points for us?

Ss: ……

( It is true that suitable uniforms can show good discipline.

 Can you tell me what Miss Wang says?

设计意图:该部分目的在于语言输入,让学生从听力材料忠感知疑问词引导的宾语从句的用法及相关的英语表达,为语言输出做准备。

Step5 Post-listening

T: Let’s look at 1c. Make up a new conversation like 1a in five minutes., two students a group. Then act out before us.

Example:

A: Can you tell me what Maria asks?

B: She asks what materials they should choose.

Step6 Conclusion

    T: 2a Listen to the conversation and put A, B and C in the right places.

       Do you need another time/

       Lets check your answer together.

       2b Read 2a and answer the following questions. Then try to give a short report.

Step7 Practice

    TLook at the pictures. Suppose you are one of the following persons. Pretend to interview each other and make a conversation similar to 2a. Then role-play in pairs.

S1: Glad to meet you!

S2: Glad to meet you, too!

设计意图:该部分通过方便对话活动和同一主题下的语言输入纪相应练习帮助学生进一步巩固和运用1a部分所学知识。兼顾了语言输入和输出,进一步发展了学生听,读和说的功能。

Step8  Free talk

The teacher takes out some pictures, and makes a dialogue with the whole class.

T: Hello, could you tell me what clothes you like best?

S1: Sure! I like jeans best.

T:

(Make up conversations after the example, using the sentences in the box. Pay attention to the word order of object clause.)

(Teacher asks two more pairs to act out their dialogues.)

[学生英语表达的细胞在此完全得到释放,而且教师引导学生互编新对话,培养了学生在真实场景中运用英语的能力.在此部分,我们可以看到学生思维的火花得以绽放.]

T: Who can tell us what we have learnt?

Ss:

T: Well done. Today’s homework is to write some sentences, using the object clause, are you clear?

Ss: Yes, we are.

T: So much for this class. Goodbye, class.

Ss: Goodbye, teacher.
